Editorial and commercial policy
Revenue must not determine what BDOForge says, which tool it recommends, or how a comparison is ranked.
Original work
BDOForge publishes its own explanations, comparisons, decision frameworks, and tool documentation. External material is used to verify facts and is attributed where appropriate. We do not present copied guides, scraped articles, or lightly rewritten source pages as original BDOForge reporting.
Sources and uncertainty
Official Pearl Abyss material is preferred for mechanics and changes. Live regional inputs are labeled by region and freshness. Editorial guidance should identify assumptions that could change the outcome. Missing evidence is disclosed; it is not filled with an invented number or an unsupported “best” recommendation.
AI-assisted publishing and review status
Local language models may help organize evidence or prepare a draft, but a raw generated page is not automatically published. An indexed guide must pass the source, citation, scope, patch-currentness, conflict, originality, image-rights, and technical publication checks. Every guide also displays its editorial verification record, AI-assistance disclosure, and owner-review status. When the owner has elected to review a release afterward, the page says “pending post-release review” until that review is completed; corrections and material findings are recorded in the guide changelog.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
BDOForge may use clearly identified advertising or compensated links. Payment does not buy a favorable answer, a higher ranking, or inclusion in a comparison. Sponsored links, if introduced, will be labeled and marked appropriately. Advertising will not be placed on empty states, account or administration screens, error pages, or other screens without substantial publisher content.
Corrections and updates
Material corrections should state what changed and update the underlying data or rule where possible. Patch-sensitive guides are reviewed when their evidence changes. Updating a date without reviewing the content does not make an article current.
Fan-site independence
BDOForge is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pearl Abyss. Game names, images, and other game materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence does not imply sponsorship.
