BDOForge

Evidence before confidence

Data and answer methodology

BDOForge treats “what is true?” and “what should I do?” as separate questions. The first needs evidence and scope. The second also needs your goals, constraints, and a comparison of alternatives.

Four kinds of information

TypeExamplesHow it is handled
Live regional dataMarket rows, availability, timersRegion and observation time are part of the answer. Old observations are not relabeled as current.
Official reference dataSystem rules, quest unlocks, patch changesOfficial guides and notices are preferred for claims about mechanics and changes.
Player inputsGear, mastery, inventory, goals, timeCalculators keep these inputs distinct from sourced facts so a personal scenario is not mistaken for a universal result.
BDOForge analysisComparisons, workflows, next-step guidanceAnalysis explains the reasoning, identifies missing context, and links to the tool that can verify changing inputs.

Freshness and regional scope

A Black Desert answer can be correct in one region and wrong in another, or correct before a patch and wrong afterward. BDOForge defaults to NA only where the interface says so. Current market, event, boss, balance, and patch-sensitive claims require fresher evidence than stable interface or system explanations. If the available evidence does not meet that requirement, the answer should ask for a region, open a live module, or explain that a current conclusion is unavailable.

Calculations and comparisons

Calculators show scenarios, not guaranteed outcomes. Market tax, price, quantity, enhancement probability, repair cost, time, mastery, and other relevant inputs should remain inspectable. A result is only as current as its live inputs and only as personal as the details supplied. We avoid publishing one static “best” item, class, node, grind spot, or money method when the choice depends on those variables.

Source roles

Official Pearl Abyss pages are the preferred public source for game mechanics, announcements, and patch history. Live game services support current regional rows where permitted. First-party BDOForge guides add workflow and interpretation. Community sources may help discover a question or identify something to verify, but are not silently promoted to official evidence.

How Black Spirit shows evidence

Black Spirit keeps recommended BDOForge actions separate from evidence links. Its source panel identifies the answer's region and platform scope, whether those values were supplied or assumed, the evidence freshness, and whether a current answer is supported, needs newer research, or should be verified in a live tool. A bundle generation date is not presented as proof that every underlying claim was checked on that date.

Corrections

Game data and normalization can be imperfect. Feedback is reviewed against the source type, region, date, and affected tool. A correction should update the underlying rule or data path when possible, not merely patch one displayed sentence. Important actions should still be confirmed in the current game client.

A confident-looking answer is not the goal. A scoped, checkable answer that helps the player decide what to do next is.
