Family Inventory: Unlock It, Fill It Smart, and Know the Limits

On a level 60 or higher character, accept Black Spirit's Gift (Family Inventory) from the Black Spirit. You can also find it in the Suggested tab under the level 60 Family-fitting Inventory section. The Family Inventory button appears in the character's inventory at level 60 and can route you toward the quest.

Completing the questline grants a Family Inventory +2 Expansion Coupon and starts the shared bag at 100 LT. Because the inventory belongs to the Family, do the unlock on whichever eligible character is convenient; the point is access across the roster, not building a separate copy for every alt.

The base unlock is deliberately small, but there is another free step: Black Spirit's Gift (Family Inventory Weight Limit+) adds 50 LT. Do that before deciding you need a paid weight coupon. Free account stats should never be hiding behind an impulse purchase.

After the free quests, additional slots and weight can come from Pearl or Loyalty expansion coupons, and some slots can come from special events. The current official maximum is 90 slots and 1,250 LT. That is the ceiling, not the free starting package, so plan around what your account actually owns.

The official allowed groups include scrolls, food and elixirs, worker stamina food, certain seals and content currency, pet feed, and recovery items for several mount types. This makes Family Inventory best at feeding repeat-use supplies to whatever character you log next.

Use it for things that reduce alt friction: a shared food stack, pet feed, worker food, or an eligible travel consumable. Do not treat the category list as permission for every item with a similar name. The item's tooltip is the final check. If it does not say it can be placed in Family Inventory, leave it in character inventory, town storage, or the appropriate warehouse.

Character-bound items cannot move into Family Inventory. The official guide also excludes Guild Shop items, content-specific items such as Guild or Red Battlefield items, and event items that do not explicitly say they are Family Inventory-storable. This is a filtered utility bag, not universal account storage.

When an item refuses to move, stop dragging it harder. Compare the tooltip with a known eligible item, then check whether it is bound, content-specific, or missing the Family Inventory permission line. That diagnosis is faster than relogging, and it protects you from writing off the whole system because one special item has a restriction.

The bag is most useful when every character can predict what is inside. Reserve slots for roster-wide consumables, keep stack counts sane, and avoid using scarce shared weight on items only one main ever touches. A two-slot starter bag should solve two frequent problems, not hold two forgotten event leftovers.

• Finish both free quests before evaluating paid slot or weight upgrades.
• Choose supplies used by several characters, not a private stash for one alt.
• Check every questionable item's tooltip for explicit Family Inventory eligibility.
• Watch both slot count and shared weight; having one free slot does not guarantee the next stack fits.
• Re-audit the bag after events so temporary leftovers do not squat on permanent account utility.

First confirm the character is level 60. Then check the Suggested quest section and Black Spirit, followed by completed quest history so you do not search for a quest the Family already finished. If the bag opens but one item will not move, the item tooltip and binding state matter more than the icon or category name.
